Responsibilities
- Collaborate with audit team members and colleagues from other departments on complex accounting and auditing matters
- Facilitate cross-border engagements and group audits with group/component audit teams and Grant Thornton network firms, including engagements involving entities with operations in India and related reporting requirements
- Manage and deliver assurance engagements in accordance with Grant Thornton audit methodology for multinational organisations
- Identify and develop opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand services with existing clients
- Train, coach, and mentor audit team members, including conducting performance reviews and providing structured feedback to support career development
Qualifications and requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in statutory audit within professional services, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role overseeing or leading audit teams
- Experience with statutory audits involving entities with operations in India, including strong proficiency of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS / Indian GAAP) and statutory reporting requirements is required due to engagement requirements involving Indian subsidiaries within multinational group audits
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. Singapore CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, US CPA or equivalent)
- Experience engaging with external clients and stakeholders
- Experience leading international or cross-border audit engagements
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards (IFRS/ISA/SSA)
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Exposure to multi-jurisdiction group reporting and consolidation is an advantage
- Strong communication skills for cross-border engagement coordination.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
